British Crime at BCNegra

This year Barcelona and Berlin are linked by a love of Crime writing. If you are a fan of crime writing this is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself both online and in face to face meetings with award winning authors from the UK, and in Barcelona from an array of different countries during the BCNegra festival.

Participants: Writers Philip Kerr, Val McDermid, Sophie Hannah, Bethan Roberts, and Kate Summerscale will be participating in the panel discussion chaired by John Mullan LIVE from Berlin, followed by Q&A session (using twitter). The session will be in English with no translation.

3rd February at 4pm

Participants: Joana Gallego, journalist; Denise Mina, writer; Orteu Alba, psychologist and Anna Choi, agent of the Mossos d'Esquadra, participate at a round table to discuss domestic abuse and its presence in the press and literature. Moderator: Fatima Llambrich, TV3 journalist

Glasgow, the islands and green fields, remembering William McIlvanney

Participants: Peter May, writer and television Script writer; Denise Mina, writer, playwright, graphic novelist and Louise Welsh, journalist and writer, discuss Scottish Crime writing.
