Biography

Twm Morys was born in 1961 in Oxford, and grew up in Wales.

He is a poet and writes for television and radio, and essays as columnist for various literary reviews. He also writes song lyrics, which he sings with the folk-rock group, Bob Delyn a'r Ebillion.

He graduated from the University of Wales, Aberwystywth, then worked at BBC Radio Cymru and as a lecturer at Rennes University before becoming a full-time writer.  He is the son of the writer Jan Morris, and collaborated with her on Wales, the First Place (1982) and A Machynlleth Triad/Triawd Machynlleth (1994). He also adapted her book Our First Leader into Welsh as Ein Llyw Cyntaf (2001).

In 1999, he  worked collaboratively with poet Iwan Llwyd, touring South America. This resulted in a television series using poetry and visual images, and a book, Eldorado (1999).

His two poetry collections are Ofn fy Het (1995) and 2 (2002).
