As part of the bicentenary celebrations next year the British Council has launched a global programme to document the city, as Dickens did in his sketches. His short narratives captured an essence of the city and propelled him to public notice.

In the vein of capturing something of the city, as Dickens did before dawn, Zara ventured down to Borough Market in the early hours of the morning to produce a graphic narrative.
